Worked exampleWe built this to show what a campaign looks like from start to finish. The organisations in it are made up, and nobody is collecting your answers for a decision. The amount it says it pays is part of the example. Nobody gets paid for answering it.
Ashenden City Council~7 min
What would the rebuilt centre have to be for you to actually go?
The aquatic centre is being rebuilt and the designers haven't started drawing. Before they do, say what the place has to be for you to go.
What you can change
- 01What the concept designers are asked to design for
- 02What counts as a problem with the centre as it is now
- 03Which parts of the site the concepts are asked to do something about
What Ashenden City Council has already decided
- That it is rebuilt on the same site. A different site was ruled out in 2025 on cost.
- The 50-metre pool and its eight lanes, which the club's lease guarantees to 2041.
- The $14.2 million, which is the borrowing council has approved.
- That the plant is replaced. It fails in 2029, which is why there is a project.
What you'll do
- 1Put yourself in the future, and write what you're doing
- 2A few quick questions about you
- 3Put a pin where it actually happens, and say what it is
- 4Check what you said, then send it
Timeline and impact
- You hear back by 18 December 2026
- Funded. The money is allocated and this is happening. How the money is spent isn't what you're being asked about.
Who this is for
People aged 12 to 24 in Ashenden. People who use the centre now, people who used to, and people who never have. The last group is the part the door count cannot see.
