Worked exampleWe built this to show what a campaign looks like from start to finish. The organisations in it are made up, and nobody is collecting your answers for a decision. The amount it says it pays is part of the example. Nobody gets paid for answering it.
What is actually happening at the foreshore after dark?
Council is writing a plan for the foreshore after dark, and so far it only has the complaints. Put what actually happens there on the map before the plan gets written.
There are 61 complaints and no account from anybody they are about. This is the part where that gets fixed, before anybody writes a plan.
Anything another person appears to have written or photographed here was made by us. This campaign uses activities where people read each other's answers. Somebody has to check every one before anyone sees it, for as long as the campaign runs.
We can't staff that yet. Nothing you write reaches anyone, and nothing here came from a real person. What the checking would actually decide is written out at the moderation queue.
What you can change
- 01What the plan treats as the problem in the first place
- 02Which parts of the foreshore the plan is about
- 03Whether the plan is about managing people or about changing the place
What Halloway City Council has already decided
- That there will be a plan — council resolved that in March.
- The lighting contract, which is signed and runs to 2029.
- That the state agency signs off anything touching the seawall or the boat ramp.
What you'll do
- 1Put a pin where it actually happens, and say what it is
- 2A few quick questions about you
- 3Read where someone else landed, and answer that
- 4Check what you said, then send it
Timeline and impact
- You hear back by 14 May 2027
- Not funded yet. No money is attached to this yet. What you say helps make the case for funding; what actually happens depends on future budgets.
Who this is for
People aged 15 to 24 who use the Halloway Point foreshore in the evening, and people who used to and stopped.
